India Chairman Srini Kandala Shares Insights on Our Gen AI Platform ‘KAIros’ and Offers Pre-Placement Opportunity

IIM Calcutta recently invited Srini Kandala, Chairman – Sears India, to share his insights on the possibilities of AI and deep dive into key business use cases.

Srini gave an overview of our Gen AI Platform – KAIros, which is redefining the landscape for Home Services, Retail and IoT.

KAIros is an ecosystem where AI entities, each with specific roles, duties, and responsibilities, collaborate in a structured organizational fashion. Among many entities, it includes a Service Scheduler that triages and makes optimal service appointments; the Fix Genius, an expert at diagnosing and repairing appliances; and the HireHub, an HR maestro overseeing recruitment, from sourcing candidates to onboarding.

Srini delved into the strategic roles these AI entities play, and how they interact to create a seamless operational flow. He also shared insights into the role of KAIros in revolutionizing Home Services, and Retail industries, ensuring automation at scale while enhancing and meticulously optimizing each customer interaction.

Srini also launched a case study competition for all IIM Calcutta students, aimed at testing their ability to build innovative bots that solve complex business problems. The top 5 teams were given a chance to present their case solutions to Eddie Lampert, Transformco Chairperson, and the Sears Leadership Team. The winners were not only awarded a cash prize but also a pre-placement interview opportunity with Sears.

We continue to identify and engage students from top engineering and business schools to join us in our vision – be it through guest lectures or an overview of our work predominantly involving Gen AI, learning activities, and case challenges. We are poised for growth and plan to visit more campuses soon.
